Story

Born in Kalispell, Montana

August 15, 1971

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our precious daughter, Amy Scalf Evans, who passed away on April 26 following a diving accident in Florida. Moment by moment, we are navigating the deep void her passing has left in our lives.

Amy was a beloved daughter, sister, wife and mother, deeply cherished by her family and friends. While she cheerfully answered to Amy, Amy Jean, Ames and Amers, we are certain her favorite term of endearment was "Mom". World-wide, her network of family and friends are grieving.

We honor Amy's persistent altruism and celebrate her compassion for animals of all shapes, sizes and sorts. Any chirping, barking, neighing, meowing, peeping, bleating critters in need that crossed her path were immediately welcomed into her life and home. The rainbow bridge is surely overflowing. Amy forever enriched all our lives through the gifts of her exuberant spirit and generous heart. Her zest for life and adventure was contagious.

We will not forget the bounce in her step when she entered a room nor the sheer joy that emanated from her beautiful and ever-present smile. As her parents, we are so grateful for all the years we had together. We cannot recall a cross word. She was the brightest light, loved and adored.
